Sport360's Scott Grayston goes behind the scenes at one of the top amateur football clubs in the UAE – Dubai FC.
The club was formed in 2011 after merging with the Assassins. It didn't take long for the chairman, Matt Rubin, to get the club sponsorship and find the right men to lead the side to glory.
The appointment of Omar Dobouny and Steve Rutter as the first team manager and assistant proved to be a wise move. Both of the coaches used their experience from winning the DAFL to mould a squad that could compete with the top sides like: Irish FC, Safa FC and Dubai Allstars.
Coaches and chairmans aren't anything without the players though and before you knew it, Dubai FC had 150 active players and fielded a strong team in each of the 5 Dubai Amateur Football League Divisions.
Sport360 take you through a journey of the club's incredible rise to the DAFL title.
